Tyler is now 3 years and 4 months old, and has grown leaps and bounds in the last year! There are so many things that can be said about Tyler....seeing that he is able to talk, we have learned so much about his personality, and his behaviors are always changing!
1. He is a "phase" kid...EVERYTHING turns out to be a phase...each phase usually lasts a couple of weeks. He recently went through a "really good boy" phase, but he is hopefully coming to the end of a naughty phase...he gets really frustrated, will verbalize that he is frustrated and then proceeds to knock something over or throw something....It does seem to be getting better.
2. He is struggling with naptime....He will go several days of just having some quiet time, then he seems to crash and takes a nap for the next few days. Not yet ready to give up naps completely, but definitely walking the fence!
3. He loves to say "love"....Every night he takes a bite of food and says, "I love, love, love this!". He tells people he "loves" their shoes or their coat.
4. He STILL loves animals...the horse phase appears to be over, but he loves ALL animals..."swim" animals are a big hit right now (that is what he calls them).
5. He JUST moved into his big boy bed! He is quite proud of it!
6. He isn't a big eater...he eats slowly too...each meal lasts about a half hour to an hour and not a ton has been eaten! The longer you can keep him in his chair the more he will eat. Desserts will actually get him to take more bites of his main food (kelsi does this too!).
7. He LOVES sledding...he will start talking about it randomly.
8. Douglas found a collection of boogers on his wall next to his bed. He proudly admitted to putting them there!
9. He is honest, honest, honest. He doesn't really understand how to lie yet...If I hear Kelsi crying, all I have to say is, "What happened?" and he will say, "I bopped her on the head." or "I pushed her down." etc....This conversation happens multiple times a day!
10. He has to know what Kelsi is doing at all times. He will leave what he is doing just to find her.
11. When he was in his crib, he HAD to have feet in PJ's. Now that he has his big boy bed, he has to have his feet out (mama & dada are this way too!).
12. Tyler loves playdough. He will play with it all by himself for quite a bit of time!
